Looks like this one is getting closer to happening with producers being annouced and a script being commissioned:

Empire Online wrote:
We reported back in September that Fox were "quietly developing" a new Daredevil film, if for no other reason than to keep the rights to Ol' Hornhead from reverting back to Marvel / Disney in the not-too-distant future. Now, Deadline Hollywood have revealed the project's scriptwriter. It's David Scarpa.

Scarpa has story and co-script credit on the so-so 2001 Dreamworks prison drama The Last Castle, which starred Robert Redford and James Gandolfini, and he also wrote last year's Keanu remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still. Not a hugely inspiring pedigree then, but a lot may depend on which particular comics - if any - Scarpa chooses to adapt. We're suggesting Frank Miller's Born Again or Brian Michael Bendis' recent run would be solid foundations, although we'd hesitate to use a word like "foolproof", given what happened to Miller's Elektra saga last time.

Also revealed by DH are the production company, Regency, and the producer, former News Corp head honcho Peter Chernin, who also has Moses and Planet of the Apes prequel Caesar on the go.

This Marvel reboot business is possibly getting rather out of hand: Hulk, Punisher, The Fantastic Four, and now Spidey have all had or are getting new versions with the originals still in very recent memory. But the Mark Steven Johnson / Ben Affleck Daredevil, even in its much-improved director's cut form, always felt like a missed opportunity, so this one, at least, we're keeping our fingers crossed for.

you know they give that movie alot of crap but really it wasn't THAT bad. It was good for what it was and the fact that Affleck was in it is usually what makes people think it was bad when it was pretty good to be honest.

(finished cleaning my ears, dont know why Im mentioning that)

I thought Daredevil was alright...only thing I felt suprised was Kingpin being played by Debo, lol. The dude from the movie Friday. It was weird that it wasnt like comic book or the Spiderman cartoons I used to watch as a kid (Which is the same thing). I liked it though.

oh, & Affleck...

umm.. Kingpin was played by Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile). Debo in Friday was Tiny "Zeus" Lister

I liked Dogma, but not Pearl Harbor or Daredevil. Theres a movie that I saw with my girl one time that sucked, I dont remember the name. Justin Long was in it, he was kool but the wasn't all that. That's my reason.

Silent Bob movies! :D

If they do make a Daredevil movie, it better not have Elektra. Kingpin & Bulls-eye have to be in the there too. They should put another villain but I aint familiar with Daredevil so much. :?

You'll be suggesting Leap Frog next...

I could go for a redesigned Gladiator or maybe Typhoid Mary.
