I was checking out the Dark Horse comics that are based on movies such as Indiana Jones and i noticed it was horrible but then i saw how Conan was sweet.
Why make comics based on movies like Indiana Jones and Star Wars?

Not read any of the Indy comics but some of the Start Wars comics are superb. Sure Lucas f***ed things up with the prequels but that doesn't mean that other people can't tell good stories based on the Star Wars characters/universe.

Buffy Season 8 is indeed the 8th season of the series. Xander with an eye-patch. Nuff said.

Dark Horse also put out a fantastic adaptation of several of Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, scripted by Chaykin and drawn by Mignola. They did the incredible Concrete, and Aliens is mostly unmissable. As far as the Conan run, it's the most faithful adaptation of Howard's original work yet in print or onscreen. Read them and you'll understand what I mean by saying there's never been a Conan movie.

edit: Criminal Macabre is just fun. Cal McDonald is a proper fuck-up.

Did Dark Horse do any new Leiber adaptations of their own after they reprinted Chaykin and Mignola's Marvel/Epic series?

I'm a big fan of Hellboy, Concrete, and Alien vs Predator. Also have some Star Wars X Wing Rogue Squadron which is pretty good .

I love the whole Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series. I always liked Star Wars and wanted more material after initially seeing the movies, and these books are a great addition to the timeline. Even for those that aren't huge SW fans, they're still good comics.
