So what have people read from the FCBD stuff?

Avengers was pretty meh, Spidey's commentary did my head in but I can see why they did it; fill in the newbies on the current status quo.

Blackest Night was decent, best bit for me was the explanations of all the different colours; I'm the newb when it comes to the lanterns.

Predator was also pretty decent, Alien not so much.

I just saw this list on:
Code:
http://www.freecomicbookday.com/

I plan on taking my nephew; he's gotten reading down to the point where I think he can get greater enjoyment out of comics than just looking at the pictures. This event is great; everyone should make it a point to stop by your local store and get some free comics.

The first Saturday of every May (May 1st, this year). check out the site and see if your local comic stores are participating in this event.

GIJoe 155.5 was awesome! Took me back to the stories and characters that first got me into comics. If you weren't a fan of the 80s series though, this will come off as fairly silly.

The Solar/Magnus issue was ok. I loved the story for Solar but the art didn't do it for me. Magnus I ended up giving up on. And I was a big fan of these Valiant comics back in the 90's.

I'm going to my second shop today (the day after FCBD) and hoping he has the mouse guard/fraggle rock and (embarrassed) the Lady Gaga issue, I mean come on, who isn't curious about that?!
