being as to how ive read both series, i would have to say niether would win. both types of magic that they have are so different with positives and negatives to each that it would end up being a stale mate. dumbledore with the elder wand (this allows no wizard to overpower him in battle) and gandalf with his ring of power (mentioned in return of the king when he shows frodo the purple ring that is on his finger). too close to call imo.
