Ok, since I'm partly responsible for this thread, and in order to keep the sub-forum a bit more "organized", better post your questions and answers about DC-related stuff for stories and characters like :superman: uperman, :ww: onderWoman and the ba :bat: man...and so forth...

Other tips:
When posting a question, try to be specific: why you asked about it.., if a picture is available, include one, especially if its character-related (coz sometimes it helps freshen up the memories of duh "experts")

Also, In answering, use the REPLY TO TOPIC and Change the Topic Title to whatever question you're answering or discussing.

It would also help if the questions and answers are color-coded in a post red for questions and green for answers...Quote when necessary, and provide links if available.

Enjoy!

Here's a sample:

Batman-related: :bat:
backgrounder: I read Bruce Wayne Murderer/Fugitive months ago, and I came across the Azrael character, and again when I read the Batman/Punisher crossover Lake of Fire..

Question: When/How was this Azrael (Batman) character came about? What issue did he first appeared?

Azrael was created by Denny O'Neil & Joe Quesada. He first appeared in his own mini-series "Sword of Azrael", initially as a super-assassin acting for a religious order who crossed paths with Batman and saw the error of his ways to become a hero(ish) character.

Later he was chosen to be Batman's successor after the Knightfall storyline. Once Bruce was back on his feet and took back the cape & cowl, Azrael took over his old identity for a solo series.

No Man's Land was basically what the whole of Gotham City was called after the Cataclysm event. A massive earthquake hit Gotham which lead the government to declare it a disaster area and offer to evacuate anyone who wanted to leave. After this the city was cordoned off, leaving anyone left inside to fend for themselves.

It was Batman-centric, but it had a Superman crossover.

Woah, lots of questions.

Ser Warjacksworth wrote:

Yep - she made her first appearance during the No Man's Land crossover (Legends of the Dark Knight #120)

Ser Warjacksworth wrote:

Yep again - Lex used the unpopularity caused by decision to create No Man's Land to his advantage when running for President

stiffuppahlip wrote:

It was a massive (80+ issues) Bat Family crossover that ran for almost a year (real time).

The full checklist is:
Batman: No Man's Land #0,1
No Man's Land: Secret Files & Origins #1
Batman #563-574
Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #116-126
Batman: Shadow of the Bat #83-94
Batman: Chronicles #16-18
Detective Comics #730-741
Azrael #50-61
Batman: Harley Quinn
Catwoman #72-77
Nightwing #35-39
Robin #67-73
JLA #32
Young Justice Special #1

And before you ask - I'm already working on it :)

Thanks for the info Warjacker! I'd give you a thumbs karma...except I still don't seem em..

Anyhoo, just a couple or so points:

Would you mind, using the "Post A Reply" button instead of using the Quick Reply here?

2nd related to above, the reason is...you "have to" change your Subject from "Post DC-related Questions Here" to whatever subject you're replying to, in this case : "Batman: No Man's Land" (notice it?)

Lastly, if it's a direct answer to the question..use the Font Colour...and turn it into "dark green" or "dark red" if its a question......isn't it much nicer that way?

There are some links for the No Man's Land story up in the Batman downloads section. There is the 12 part prequel (Road to No Man's Land) and the TPBK reprints. These don't contain all the crossover issues (only about 50%) but do contain the core story & all the important events. I'll add the missing issues as & when I find them.
