alright guys, I'm a pretty big gamer, and with the announcement of GTA V, and the release of the the trailer next week, I was wondering if you guys are excited/skeptical/ or maybe even not caring? If into the franchise, what are your hopes for gameplay, locations, story, time period etc...Or just thoughts in general on the next chapter in the franchise...

the GTA series is great in general, through I like the III universe more than I do the IV universe,I still I hope the V will be the best one yet.

I'm in two minds about the news. Part of me enjoys the GTA games immensely and is looking forward to another outing, however that same part is tempered by GTA IV and would like to see a loosening of the collar for a next game. My other thinking is that GTA can carry on in a more realistic and/or serious vein if there are games like Saints Row: The Third to pick up the insanity slack and give us a sandbox game where absolute mayhem can reign. So I'm waiting to see what the good folks at Rockstar North come up with for this instalment with bated breath.

GTA IV was class but still lacked the insanity of San Andreas with no planes hovercrafts and general wierd stuff the DLC pack Ballad of Gay Tony had great mayhem in it hopefully Rockstarr will up the Ante this time....and P.S. No more "COUSIN"!

No posts since the trailer was release?
I'm excited. IV was back to Liberty City, now we're going back to San Andreas. It wasn't my favourite game, but not every GTA can be Vice City.
Honestly, I hope they tone down the realism this time. Insane Stunts have to make a comeback, at least. I didn't mind the pigeons and the 'friend calling' wasn't too horrible. I didn't hate IV, but it was the game I had least fun playing and I trace that to the amount of realism in it.

Got to agree with above that IV wasn't as enjoyable as the rest. Currently replaying III on iOS and even the mobile version I prefer to IV. Vice City got the blend of realism, fun, story, movie homages and soundtrack spot on I think.

The trailer itself doesn't really tell me something. But since GTA V is set to take place in San Andreas and not Liberty City again, I think it might be quite fun.

San Andreas was definitely my favorite of the PS2 games, but Saints Row has eclipsed the series since then for me. IV just got so repetitive I couldn't finish it, but I've finished all three of the Saints row games, two multiple times.
All that said though, I will definitely be picking this up when it comes out, just maybe not at launch.
