In order to clean up the Download threads a bit as well as share some mutual appreciation, we have given you the ability to say thanks for a good topic by a simple click of your mouse!

See underneath this post? There's a box that's fairly self explanitory. Also, if you look underneath my avatar you will see a count of how many times I have been thanked *cough*not enough*cough*

This eliminates the needs for just posting 'Thanks' in any of the download threads and so any of these posts will be deleted from now on.

The thanks button has been moved to the left hand column, under user details.
You can now thank people for any post, not just the original topic.

The only problem is that the "Thanks" box doesn't show up in the prosilver skin for the boards. :(

Funk doesnt have the time to chase up on all the different styles in use whenever a change is made to one style.

You'd be surprised at the number of people who actually think they MUST be thanked. In my opinion you don't do things just to be recognised with Thanks, you should do it to help your e-community, never mind the thanks, we should be more interested in getting people actively involved instead.

Uhmmm...correct me if I'm correct...but it seems to me that the "Say Thanks" button is actually saying thanks not for the post (reply) but for the topic thread... so if I Post a topic or question...then I want to "Say Thanks" to whoever gave a reply (whether good or not)...I'm actually giving thanks to the one who posted the original topic-me not to the one who posted a reply...right ??? :shrug:

Since we're mainly about downloads it is aimed at thanking the people who post the downloads and these are usually in new topics. Fair enough you can't thank people who answer questions but that was never really the point.
