So Jason Todd was kiiled at the hands of the Joker, but then reappeared as the Red Hood. How did he come back to life/survive or whatever?

The follow on question is this: What is the generally accepted origin of the original Red Hood? Two versions seem to exist; one being that it was the Joker's original identity before his deformation and insanity, the other being that the Red Hood was a gang of crooks who took turns wearing the hood and it was merely Joker's turn when the whole chemical vat thing happened.

IIRC Jason Todd came back during Infinite Crisis as a result of the whole Superboy Prime "punching holes in reality" thing. Can't remember the details but it had something to do with reality becoming fractured and allowing all sorts of weird & impossible things to happen. Kinda lame but still better than OMD.

Well spaced is correct, Jason came from another "reality" that slipped though Earth 1 because of Prime's punching. This "altered" the history of the DCU. And as for joker, no one has still came up with a definite origin story for him but according to Alan Moore, he became a Red Hood before becoming the joker. Either he's a single entity or a mask passed around gang members doesnt matter, one thing is sure: He's crazier than hell.

The first one. The second was only referred to in TKJ.

Not sure about anything happening when they were Robin & Batgirl but I known Dick Grayson (when he was Nightwing) had a thing with Barbara Gordon (when she was Oracle).

OMG! Warjacker is back...and he's right! I mean...with the Red Hood thingie...and for those who don't know what TKJ is...it's The Killing Joke by Alan Moore (OMG! one of the few...er, I think the only one of his..I ever finished reading)...it's a great story regardless of what time period you like reading your comics....

Well...I'm proud to say that I also "survived" reading Infinite Crisis...although I may have been scarred by it...and I guess you'd be "lame" too if anything gets "fractured"....like your leg...the universe...etc...
And oh OMD is...hmmmm...Spidey's "One More Day"??? (why was this compared with Infinite?) ....hmmmm...not really one of those I'd recommend :spider: reading either...

I know this tread hasn't been used in awhile, but I thought that my question should be posted here.

I know that Barbara Gordon debuted as Batgirl in Detective Comics 359, but Batman didn't know her identity and she didn't know his. So I want to know what comic or comics did she learn his secret identity and he learn hers.

Ok, I will attempt to do an LKO here and go with this: "Who else knows Barbara Gordon is/was Batgirl" from the "Answer Man" Bob Rozakis
Quote:
Commissioner Gordon was tipped off to the secret in 1971's DETECTIVE COMICS #417 when Batgirl accidentally called out "Dad" as she knocked him from the path of a bullet. She'd hoped the noise had drowned out her voice but no such luck. The Commissioner kept his newfound knowledge to himself until Barbara decided to reveal her alter-ego to him a few months later (DETECTIVE #422). A few post-Crisis stories have implied that Gordon suspected the truth much earlier.
Robin and Batgirl deduced one another's true identities after Dick Grayson spent a college break working as Congresswoman Barbara Gordon's aide. They mutually traded secrets at the end of 1975's BATMAN FAMILY #3. Obviously, Batgirl could figure out Batman's true identity based on Robin's. And Robin presumably spilled the beans to Batman (who'd probably figured out Batgirl's secret long ago). It was full disclosure all around.
In the first full-length Batgirl solo story (1976's BATMAN FAMILY #10, written by the Answer Man himself!), Barbara Gordon was on an excursion boat when she caught sight of approaching trouble. Seeking a secluded place to change into costume, Babs came face-to-face with someone else who had the same idea -- Kathy (Batwoman) Kane! After the duo trounced Killer Moth and the Cavalier, Kathy proclaimed Barbara "a most worthy successor" and gave her blessing to use the Batwoman name, an honor Babs refused (lest DC lose the trademark).
