Hi guys,

Let me know your thoughts through the season, its so far so good at present but I still think we need to buy one or two players before we can contend for the title!!

Best of luck to everyone else this season

Vermaelen already looks like another class Wenger signing - who'd have though a 5'10" centre back would be any good.

Glad to see some gooners here!

Before the Toure sale I said Arsenal needed another CB and possibly a DM.
I think Song *is* the player we need in midfield and I have all confidence he'll grow to be the complement to Fabregas, but I think he may still need another development year-- which is why I still have hope that Vieira will return, even as cover/part time -- he could be the mentor that Song (and Diaby!) need to be the beasts that they have the potential of becoming. But that's probably not going to happen, so I'm bracing for a bit of DM frustration.

Now that Toure is sold, and as impressed with Vermaelen as I am, I would not change my previous assessment. 2 CBs are now needed: One who's ready to get down right away in case Vermaelen or Gallas are injured (because I do NOT want Silvestre as the primary cover) and another who may be younger, but a good strong candidate.
Brede Hangeland will be a good signing just because he's already accustomed to the league, and young Neven Subotić from Borussia Dortmund is scarily good from the little I've seen. I would have also loved to have seen Lee Cattermole or Micah Richards, but I don't think either of those will happen.

Other than that, I can't say enough about the team -- overall, I think Arsenal has a close-to-perfect midfield and strike force. The options there are virtually endless, and to think that even with Rosicky, Nasri and Walcott injured there's still a line up that would put most teams to shame, plus youngsters like Wilshire and Ramsey pushing through... I mean, what more can you ask for there?

Same with attacking. I am not going to miss Ade, I have always held Bendtner to be a great prospect, who--while wasteful at his tender age--will be running at defenses better than that lazy bum Adebayor. Van Persie, Arshavin, Bendtner, EDUARDO!, Vela... Goals will not be in short supply.

I'm *very* optimistic about this team, and definitely not worried about dropping out of top 4 as some have marked Arsenal for. If we get that extra CB or two, this team has championship written all over it.

----------Van Persie----------
--Nasri----Arshavin----Rosicky--
----------Fabgregas----------
------------Diaby-----------
Clichy--Gallas--Vermaelen--Sagna
---------- Almunia----------

Is what Wenger should play if they're all fit. Rosicky, another 6 weeks I heard. Nasri's out again. Van Persie will probably get another niggle next match in which case Eduardo will do perfectly.

I dont support Arsenal, but I do quite like watching them LOL.

I still hope we will be able to bring in one or two players and although impossible maybe three...in 6 days , probably impossible!!

I would like to see a centre back, a defensive midfielder and an attacking player..

We will see, so far it is 12 goals in 3 games and 10 goals in 2 premier league games :)

Come on you gunners!!!

no need for an attacker as far as I'm concerned, but I will add my voice in the battle cry: Come on you gunners!

Celtic tomorrow, and the Mancs on Saturday!

Bloody hell, how I despise Wayne Rooney.

Come on you Gunners, you have them so outclassed today, you can win this one!
