Everyone who's been following X-Men know's it's Jean Grey in a new form. When Hope was boorn she destroyed a town and recently she's displayed the phoenix force firebird in her eyse. Cable knew from the start who she was.

actually you are a bit wrong....Hope is Jean Grey's child (some believe) but she is born when most mutants lost their powers due to scarlet witch.....please don't make such comments when you do not read the hope series which began in messiah complex and cable ( series ). Go back and read it and come back with more knowledge before posting. thanks.

Jean was dead for about a good 1-2 years before Messiah Complex, so unless she came back for 9 months banged Scott and secretly had a baby that no one not even he knew about, that theory is de-bunked

I wish Jean won't come back, at least not this time. I love her, but right now there are too many X-Men, another one in the cauldron... too messy!

Jean was resurrected during the mini-series Phoenix - Warsong. She was saved from going crazy by all her friend in the x-men, she became the White Phoenix then left. It was never said that she died again, she's out there somewhere. I don't think that Hope is her kid, but Jean probably isn't dead.

I think Hope's last name is Summers because Cable's last name is Summers and he's raised her like a daughter.

Also, Jean didn't die again. She's beyond that. She went back to the White Hot Room while she continues to heal and find the other missing pieces of herself (remember the Phoenix was blasted into billions of pieces by the Shi'ar back when Endsong began?). Who's to say that Hope isn't one of those pieces made corporeal? Mysterious explosive birth and all. Plus, since Jean and the Phoenix are one and the same now, it would explain why Hope looks like Jean.

The X-titles have been hit and miss with me over the past couple of years. I had gotten tired of them, dropped them, picked a few back up and am now only really reading Cable and X-Factor. I'm going to give this a chance (BIG THANKS FOR POSTING THE LIST OF CHAPTERS!!!) to see if it reignites my interest in the X-books, only because of my interest in Cable and Hope!!!

With Cable's mom being a clone of Jean and him adopting Hope that would sure makes for a strange family tree.
I'm not happy to see X Factor being dragged into this . One of the things I liked best about that book is they didn't get involved with the other mutant shinanigans ( most of the time )
