I agree 100%. PC is the option for me and I have tried both but really depends on what you want to do.

Been brought up on a PC, so I've tended to avoid Mac so far.

Uhmmm...interesting thing.... are you talking about hardware or the OS??? Coz i havent really used much of Apple's machines before (it's OS is the Mac OS X right?) while the "PC" is really identified with Windows' OSes (although now, it runs lotsa variations of Linux + other OSes like Android, BeOS, etc...and yes, even emulate a Mac OSX) so I guess it's more "flexibletter" to have a PC
....besides, watcha goin to do with all those great PC-only games out there?!?

Hmm that's a hard one. I grew up learning on a PC, but I worked on a Mac for 8 years when i did graphics. I really like the Macs better, but they are limited in what software and games are available out there, so I myself own a PC. Intel icore7. Pretty good one too. Still too many probs with Windows though. I have Windows 7 on my PC, XP on my mom's PC (my old one), and Vista on my laptop. Not too fond of any of the OS's.

My vote goes to the PC, it is more versatile in terms of software and hardware available. I have used Macs and did not like them. In terms of the o/s the mac now uses a version of Unix and I never liked Unix. This is a maybe off topic but for me the best computer that I have ever used was a DEC alpha running OpenVMS. I know that these are old fashioned and out of date now but I used to work as a programmer and they were the best machine to work on. Sorry for being a bit of an old fart!

I have had both mac and PC and I would have to agree with many others who say both have their pros and cons. I really love my mac for its ease of use, efficiency, functionality, and sleek design. But it is not a good gaming computer whatsoever and lags behind in being a good business computer unless you are a media designer.

PC is like others have said, a very versatile machine, that you can basically do anything with. But I have always been frustrated with the constant "slowness" of the computer after a year or so and the many glitches that PCs always have. But they are the way to go for gaming so far.

I said PC here. While the MAC OS is amazingly stable being Unix based, I have to vote PC on almost everything else, especially what makes PC's so attractive: flexibility in everything, cost included. For the wide array of uses I have for a computer, a PC is the only way to go. (Not OEM mind you, but that's a personal opinion)

echoing what some have said, Mac's are great if you're into multimedia work... graphic design, arranging music, editing video. I used to work on the USC campus and the bookstore said a LOT of movie majors used Mac.

If you like the freedom of customization then PC is the way to go.

I'm a PC.

PC/Linux

Graphics stuff is all available on PC too. And I think there are better graphics options for PC once you get to animation and CAD.

I hate Microsoft and Windows, but you learn to configure a system to your liking no matter what you have to work with anyway...
