Quote:
Bayonetta takes place in Vigrid, a fictional city in Europe.[6] The titular character is a witch who shapeshifts

and uses various firearms, along with magical attacks she performs with her own hair, to dispatch her foes.

She possesses four handguns—two hand-held, and one attached to each heel—and has also been pictured

with shotguns, rocket launchers, a glowing whip with a cobra's head at the tip of it, and a two-handed katana.

Bayonetta faces angelic and warrior-like enemies that confront and challenge her for reasons she is unaware.

She awoke after a 500 year sleep[7] and found herself in an unfamiliar area with no memories of who or what

she is. Over time, she begins to remember what caused the predicament she found herself in. While most of

the game's plot has not yet been disclosed, what is known is that 500 years before the incident that caused

Bayonetta's memory loss, there were two factions of warriors—the Umbra Witches, who are followers of

darkness and their counterparts, the Lumin Sages, are followers of light. Both factions mysteriously

disappeared from Vigrid under unknown cirumstances.[8]

A male character known as Luka (???) had met Bayonetta as a child, and is now a "possible love interest" for

her even though they "exist in different dimensions" and cannot touch.[7][9] Other characters include

Bayonetta's rival Jeanne (????, Jannu?), who also wields four guns; the three men Rodin (???, Rodan?), Enzo

(????, Entso?), and Balder (????, Barudoru?); and the young girl Cereza (????, Seressa?).[9]

This game to me looks interesting and when I can I will go out and get it. Anyone else seen or heard this game

before and what do you think of it so far?

Downloaded the demo and it's okay. Kind of similar to Devil May Cry. Lots of crazy bat shit type of combos and special moves. It flows quite well combat wise and the moves are quite easy to pull off. I think it would get a bit repetitive after a while. It's very pretty though

DMC comment I very much agree with. Got a bit confusing with the speed and camera at times too.

I played the demo and loved it....it reminds me of Ninja Gaiden, and I hope they have a mission mode included with the game...I'm going to gamefly it, and ramp up the difficulty...

This game has been out and I am at the moment renting it not cause I don't wanna waste my money cause its the only thing I could afford cause I don't have enough moeny to buy it. Anyways this game to me is good it may be as good of a game as its brother game Devil May Cry. If you did play the demo its way better then the demo by so much. So in my opinion this is a must play game at least if you are a fan of Devil May Cry and where the battling is like God of War.

It's a nice game, if you liked DMC u might get mixed feelings tho, it's a clone but it has some interesting twists to it :)

I beat this game a few weeks ago, and it was great. There is only one annoying part in the whole game. If it wasn't for the wacky japanese story this would get a 10 from me.

It's just a thrill ride from start to finish. The combat is perfect. If you get hit, you know it's your fault because every move performs exactly.

As an avid gamer, playing at least 10hrs a week on xbox I highly recommend this title to all, at least give it a rental.

I agree, fantastic game. In my opinion the only downside was that it was a little too short, almost too short to actually buy the game. However I suppose the desire to unlock all weapons and whatnot will keep you playing it over multiple times.

easily my favourite game this year(although i havn't played god of war 3 yet), the combat is so fluid and deep with over the top asian craziness, and dreadfully punishing in the later stages/difficulty. im also a DMC fan, although not a completest. but there is definitely challenge if you want to see it though, some of the alfheim portals are really brutal.

once you play it enough the fights feel alot like a dance(for which you are rewarded at the end with a rather humorous and sexy music video to the games theme song)

My Xbox360 just died, and want to buy this game for the PS3. But I heard this game is not that polished on the PS3. is this true?

The graphics are a little worse but the main issue is the loading times! When you pick up a new item be prepared for a 4 second delay before you can actually see the description, same thing for the pause menu. Nothing game breaking but frustrating enough to stop you from playing it for long bursts of time.
