Get ready for another ongoing X-Family book in November with the Second Coming spin-off of sorts, Generation Hope.

Second Coming was great...hope they can continue on that high note but somehow i doubt that its gonna happen(i'd be glad to be wrong on this one)...

While it sounds interesting.. I dunno how it'll work out. Gillen's last work that I know of was SWORD and it was very well written but very short lived.

He's been the main guy on Thor as well between JMS & Fraction taking over.

yea but he's been doing mandate stuff more than he has his own work. so I don't really consider it a real show of his work

Very "Mystique-y / Nightcrawler-y" mutant on the left. What abilities do they give em? Let's see.
My guesses:

1. A teleporter (coz they killed and they really need another one and the girl on the left looks a bit Nightcrawler-y)
2. A long lost son/daughter of mutant parents with omega level powers (coz they killed off Cable, and because the girl on the left looks very "Mystique-y / Nightcrawler-y" and we all know Mystique's a slut)
3. Another mutant from the Weapon Plus program coz their mutant inventory never runs out (preferably another Wolverine rip-off and the guy on the right fits the profile)
4. A brilliant mutant scientist (to replace Beast of course, guy in the middle looks like Hank in his early days plus he looks skinny)
5. A shapeshifter (did I say that the girl on the left looks very Mystique-y?)
6. A mutant who can control fire (the angry guy to the left of the angrier bald guy and yes, we miss Pyro)
7. A mutant with weather manipulation like ability (to replace... heck she could even be Storm's daughter or Bishop's. Plus look at her eyes. Seems she can control fire and ice, which brings us back to number 2 and 6)

Or a combination of any of the above. Let's face it, these five just could be mere replacements of the mutants that were lost. I don't have very high expectations but I'm interested to see if I'm right with the abilities.

Well the first on the left appeared in Uncanny this month and she has the ability to fly! Thats all we know at this point Im sure there is more to it!! Its pretty exciting to have some new mutants and hopefully they will take some time to develop the characters. This is a unique oppurtunity since the readers will actually be involved with these guys from the start!! Or known Marvel it could all end up being a crock of shite!!

The fire bird is probably in relation to Hope as she's been shown to have that effect a couple of times now, and since this is a lead in to "Generation Hope"
