I have known this has been in the works for a while but has there been any developments in the movie has there been a set cast?

Think they're re-writing the script to bring the budget down. Brad Pitt was supposed to be interested at one point, not sure true that is though (can't see how having him on board would mean a lower budget).

well i think its been goin through a rough patch since they needed to find a new director since matthew vaughn lost interest in the movie

Looks like they might have a new director lined up: Kenneth Branagh!

Marvel studio execs have also described this as Marvel's "Lord of the Rings movie". So looks like an Asgardian swords & sorcery romp then.

A He-Man movie is being made! Due for release late next year if they are still on schedule.

Red Sonja is down for 2009, Conan 2010.
