Stay in the present...I wouldn't want to screw up my present by going backwards and...the future is meant to be a surprise...and I'd do what Ser Warjacksworth would do....sell it...not for armor...but for...UNLIMITED EXTRA GUM: POLAR ICE!

Backwards for me too. Just to see the people who aren't in my life anymore again and tell them I love them and all that cheese.

I would go forward. I've been so excited all my life about technology, watching things happen that were only science fiction when I was a kid. I would love to see what's coming next, or a hundred years from now. That would be thrilling. :D

I've seen/heard about the past. The future is the great unknown (at least MY great unknown). I'm on a never-ending search for something new, I want to see something new. Take me to the future, beam me up and plug me in, bring on the Matrix!

Interesting statement ... haven't really heard anyone say that in this day and age. I've heard more people who are under the impression that we're going too fast, and consequently creating more potential for us to regress as a society (kind of paradoxical, I guess). But then again, I think this is also mostly said by us un-technologically-savvy layfolk ... how far ahead would you want to go ahead, Lex?

I suppose I'd go as far ahead as it takes for the close minded to finally become extinct.

I'd go back to stop myself making some mistakes, take the lottery numbers with me and with the winnings I would travel round and help to stop 'disasters', kinda like a superhero hehe

from what I understand going backwards means taking over your past self's conscience,as opposite of having two you at the same timeline, right ?

I don't think it really matters either way, since nobody said anything about a Harry Potter "you can't talk to yourself in the past" rule ... so I'd assume even if there were two of you, since one of you has the present-day consciousness that you'd be using anyway to re-do certain things as the "past you" [if you had only one corporeal form], there wouldn't be much difference between re-doing those things and telling yourself to ... if that made any sense. lol
